Maine Wing Ground Teams Answer Call for Search Assistance

Maine Wing ground teams responded after a 50-year-old woman failed to return from an evening walk the day before.

Game wardens from the Maine Warden Service found the woman early this morning walking on a local road shortly after searchers from Civil Air Patrol, the warden service, local fire departments and volunteer teams had assembled at the Bradford Town Office. Temperatures had fallen to the teens and single digits overnight.

Ground team members from squadrons in Bangor, Bar Harbor, Lewiston and Portland responded, and the Maine Wing Communications Trailer was set up overnight to assist ground communication and coordination.
