New Hampshire Wing Gains New Commander

Col. Nic Goupil is the new commander of the New Hampshire Wing, succeeding Col. Darin Ninness. 

Goupil joined Civil Air Patrol in February 2000 as a member of the Seacoast Composite Squadron. He commanded the squadron from 2003-2009 and was recognized in 2006 and 2009 as the wing’s Squadron Commander of the Year.

He served as the wing’s vice commander from 2010-2020 and again from October 2021 until becoming commander. He also served as director of aerospace education from 2010-2021. At various times, he also filled the wing positions of director of administration, director of personnel, and internal aerospace education officer.

Goupil holds Master ratings in aerospace education, personnel, and administration and Senior ratings in cadet programs and finance. He has been involved in radio-controlled aircraft since his teen years.
