N.H. Wing Welcomes New Commander

Maj. Michael Kieloch
Assistant Public Affairs Officer

New Hampshire Wing

Col. Darin Ninness assumed command of the New Hampshire Wing on Jan. 15, succeeding Col. Kevin Harbison in a ceremony at Wing Headquarters in Concord.

Col. Jack Ozer, Northeast Region commander, officiated at the change of command ceremony. He thanked Harbison for his service and awarded him the Distinguished Service Medal for his four years of leadership.

“We have a fantastic team of volunteer airmen here in the Granite State,” Ninness said. “I’m looking forward to working with our members and state partners to continue our service to New Hampshire and the United States.

“Certainly, Col. Harbison’s command serves as an enduring example, and we all thank him very much," the new commander added.

Before taking command, Ninness served as CAP national recruiting and retention manager and New Hampshire Wing chief of staff.

As commander, Ninness will be responsible for the combined efforts of all operations and support activities associated CAP in New Hampshire. The wing includes more than 600 senior members and cadets.
