Ohio Wing Gains New Commander

Col. David J. Jennison is the new commander of the Ohio Wing, succeeding Col. Thomas Shaffer, who had held the position since 2013.

A Civil Air Patrol member since 1996, Jennison has served in multiple command positions, including the Wright-Patterson Cadet Squadron, Ohio Wing Group VII and the Ohio Wing Cadet Encampment. He is a qualified incident commander and mission transport pilot and has been director and instructor for several CAP training courses.

Jennison most recently served as director of plans and programs for the Ohio Wing.

He has served with the U.S. Marine Corps and the UJS. Air Force and is an intelligence analyst for the Air Force at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
