

Hawaii Wing members turned out Dec. 7 to mark the 83rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, with cadets from three squadrons participating in commemorative ceremonies at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial.
Cadet Capt. Noah Ettlich of the Hickam Composite Squadron and Cadet Tech. Sgt. Lilian Burrell of the Wheeler Composite Squadron presented memorial wreaths alongside servicemembers and National Park rangers.
In addition, Cadet Staff Sgt. Timmer Axel of the Kauai Composite Squadron rendered a salute during the pass in review of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carl M. Levin (DDG 120).
Nikki Stratton of Denver, granddaughter of USS Arizona survivor Don Stratton, served as keynote speaker during the main ceremony.
Cadets spoke with Rear Adm. Steven Barnett, commander of Navy Region Hawaii, and Capt. Ted Carlson, Navy Region Hawaii chief of staff, expressing their gratitude for attending the event and motivating them to pursue their paths as future leaders. _____Capt.
