

Sixty cadets from 25 wing are focusing on healthcare and emergency medical services July 17-28 at Civil Air Patrol’s Medical Orientation and Training School in Nacogdoches, Texas, experiencing an intensive curriculum designed to prepare them for careers in the field.
The session, developed in collaboration with leading healthcare professionals and educators, aims to equip participants with initial medical knowledge and skills while fostering leadership and service in the healthcare sector.
Cadets benefit from hands-on training in medical procedures, emergency response protocols, and patient care techniques under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals and instructors.
The program features feature a blend of classroom instruction, simulation exercises, and practical training sessions, ensuring members develop proficiency in medical assessment, first aid, CPR, and other critical skills. They also have the opportunity to earn certifications of graduation authorizing them to seek National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification.
