
Civil Air Patrol is participating in the 2024 Cisco Networking Academy Cyber Challenge, which ends May 23.
Participation is free and features six courses as well as the Career Path Exam. Members completing the challenge will have a skill set that could lead to an entry-level job opportunity in the cybersecurity industry.
All materials for the courses, part of the Cisco Cybersecurity Learn-A-Thon. are free to both cadet and adult members.
The opportunity is tailored for members who:
Want to learn more about cyber or are thinking about a career in the field
Would like to earn a certification
Love learning
Participation helps members prepare for the Cisco Certified Support Technician Cybersecurity certification, which focuses on topics covered in:
Network Defense, and

These courses form the core curriculum of the Cybersecurity Career Path.
Any cadet completing the challenge will be qualified to attend the the CAP National Cyber AcademyCyberspace Networking Course s National Cadet Special Activities.
Each course completed earns the participant a Cisco-approved badge. managed through Credly, that can be posted on such social media sites as LinkedIn, Degreed, Indeed, and Facebook. The badges demonstrate hard work, dedication to education, and commitment to making the digital world more secure.
Badges show employers that adult members take their cyber security seriously. And they show family, friends, school, and future employers that cadets learned the skills to help keep them secure and possess a skill set that can be trusted.
Those completing all six courses and the final exam will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a voucher to take the Cisco Cyber Security Technician certification exam.
