

Col. Amy Myzie assumed command of the New Jersey Wing with a ceremony July 13, succeeding Col. Andrew Liput after five years.
Myzie, the wing’s vice commander since July 2022, expressed her honor at taking on the role of commander and her commitment to continuing the wing’s legacy of excellence, innovation, and service.
A Civil Air Patrol member since April 1981, she previously served as:
the wing’s chief of staff, internal affairs officer, and character development officer;
commander of the Raritan Valley Composite Officer;
and deputy commander of Group 223.
In his farewell address, Liput expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the wing and reflected on his staff’s collective achievements, highlighting the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and the shared goal of excellence._____1st Lt.
